Art & Mosaico: appointments with the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli

Inside the Art & Mosaico event, the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli will be ready to welcome tourists and enthusiasts with a special opening on Saturday 6 October from 10 am to 11 pm, for a unique “nighttime” experience, and on Sunday 7 October from 10 am to 19. Visitors will be able to admire the numerous mosaic works created by the students of the School and will be entertained by the musical interventions of the harpist Alice Populin Redivo. The free guided tours always on site will instead start at the following times:

Saturday 6 October hours 11 – 12 – 15.30 – 18.30 – 22

Sunday 7 October hours 11 – 12 – 15 – 17

There are also two events in the square with the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli. The first in Piazza Garibaldi in Spilimbergo, Saturday 6 October at 11 am A meeting dedicated to the Friuli Mosaic School to talk about past, present and future through the direct, formative, professional and human experiences of those who lived and experience it. Several figures will take part in the appointment. Among the mosaicists, there will be Giovanni Travisanutto, who will pass from the memories of a student of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli to his work experience in the homonymous laboratory founded in Spilimbergo, always known for international contacts. There will also be Laura Carraro and Mohamed Chabarik, two mosaicists who besides sharing the passion for mosaic in their workshop / shop in Udine, are husband and wife, therefore united in the mosaic experience and in life.

Students are also given space in the meeting. They will tell their story two students of the specialization course: Sara La Fiura, originally from Monreale in Sicily, and Alina Sakharova, from Russia.

Introducing the meeting Stefano Lovison (President of the Mosaic School of Friuli) and Gian Piero Brovedani (Director of the School Mosaicists of Friuli) who will retrace the most significant moments of activity of their Institute, now recognized as the most important international center of mosaic on the plane training, promotional and productive, underlining the prestige achieved by the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli in recent years.

A second appointment with the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli will take place in Corso Roma in Spilimbergo, Sunday, October 7th, 2.30pm / 4.30pm. A space that will become a meeting point dedicated to children: the mosaicist masters Giulia Palamin, Sara La Fiura, Alina Sakharova will involve children in the magical world of mosaic setting up a mosaic laboratory dedicated exclusively to them between colored and fantasy tiles.
