Today, 22 January 2023, the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli reaches the venerable age of 101!
Happy birthday!
At the end of the first year of activity, in August 1922, the then mayor of Spilimbergo Ezio Cantarutti, in presenting the students’ works, declared:
«Without passion or without vocation, one does not walk in Art; and here if one has walked, it was under the influence of these two gifts.»
The passion for the mosaic is what moves teachers, students, administrators and professionals every day within the School.
With this lively sentiment, we wish: “Long live the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli!”
