The CREAttivo Park has been inaugurated in Aquileia
New recreational-sensory paths were inaugurated yesterday, Tuesday 3 December 2024, in Aquileia, in the CREAttivo urban park in Corso Gramsci (green area near the schools).
The CREAttivo Park is the result of a project conceived and curated by the Maravee Cultural Association, supported by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and made possible by the collaboration and participation of various subjects: the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, the Municipality of Aquileia, the Aquileia Foundation, the the Legnolandia company.
Through a competition aimed at the students of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, entitled CREAttivo #5, the proposals for the most interesting and convincing mosaic interventions were selected to be carried out on tables and play panels produced by the Legnolandia company, to make them unique and connect them , through figurative choices, to the thread of the history of Aquileia that the community is proud to preserve.
The new furnishings of the CREAttivo Park, which are added to those already present created last year, therefore see the intervention of the winning students of the competition: Sasha Anisimova, Francesca Chionna, Chiara De Stefano, Giulia Menegon, Jacopo Mingozzi and Veronica Pessotto.
Specifically, Francesca Chionna and Chiara De Stefano embellished two gaming tables symbolizing the UNESCO sites (to which the city of Aquileia also belongs due to the importance of its mosaics) of Friuli Venezia Giulia and neighboring Slovenia.
Sasha Anisimova, Francesca Chionna, Giulia Menegon, Jacopo Mingozzi and Veronica Pessotto instead worked on three playful panels characterized by a mirror, the game of tic-tac-toe and numbers. Their mosaics recall shapes, decorative motifs and figures found in the Roman mosaic floors of Aquileia.
The mosaic insertions designed by the students, who are also involved in their execution, are characterized by sustainability and discretion: using the space available in the wooden furniture, without interfering with its recreational function, and studying mosaic solutions which, even in their technical performance, are be simple and ornamental, suitable for the context of the green area and above all for the age and tastes of young users.
In addition to the project partners already mentioned, the inauguration was attended by pupils from the primary school of Aquileia who were guided in their visit to the park by two exceptional characters: Harlequin, played by Claudia Contin, and DJ Tubet. In fact, the children of Aquileia are the true recipients of the CREAttivo Park which combines the natural environment, the art of mosaic and the roots of the past through play, discovery and sharing in the hope of raising citizens who are aware and respectful of their territory .
