Bisognava andare avanti. Screening of the documentary film
“Bisognava andare avanti – La rinascita del Friuli dopo il sisma (We Had to Move On – The Rebirth of Friuli After the Earthquake)”, the documentary commissioned and supported by the Pordenone and Udine Chamber of Commerce, produced by Sky and directed by ArtLouder, will be broadcast on Sunday 8 November 2026 at 7.15 pm on Sky Documentaries.
The documentary chronicles the reconstruction and rebirth following the severe earthquake that struck Friuli in 1976. The title echoes the phrase often used by many when looking back on that tragic moment: a necessity, an inescapable choice that made all the difference economically, socially and culturally.
Fifty years after the 1976 earthquake, the economy of Friuli illustrates its ability to bounce back, rebuild and look to the future, through the stories of businesses, archive footage and the voices of key figures, including the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli.
