Wednesday 29 January on TG1 Mattina
On Wednesday 29 January 2025 the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli will be on TG1 Mattina, a television rotogravure of news, politics and current affairs, broadcast from Monday to Friday from 6.35 am on RAI Uno.
The arrival at the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli of the journalist Elena Biggioggero, with the TG1 Mattina crew, is scheduled for the same day, before dawn, and the filming will be broadcast around 7.40 am.
The programme, edited by TG1, in fact, in addition to covering recent news, also includes in-depth analysis of culture, society, art and entertainment.
The Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli will therefore open the doors of its laboratories, will tell the story of mosaic through the works on display, and will present its training activity which represents a unicum on an international level. The high professional training course prepares artisans specialized in the artistic field of mosaic who, after three years of compulsory attendance, obtain the qualification of Master Mosaicist. This specific preparation makes the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, an institution founded in 1922, an exclusive reality, chosen by young women and men from all over the world. This School therefore, in addition to having been able to update, through constant formal and expressive research, the local tradition of mosaic with the taste and innovation of contemporaneity, also represents an exceptionality for its international character and for the laboratory teaching that distinguishes the acquisition of skills by students and their relationship with teachers.
It will be difficult to report the long history of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli in a few minutes, but, through testimonies and images, it will be possible to grasp the creative atmosphere that can be felt in the spaces of the School and appreciate the liveliness of an art, that of mosaic, which, although it represents a small portion in the artisanal artistic sector, certainly has an interesting impact on the economy of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
