Flora and Fauna in Friuli Venezia Giulia: the new outdoor flooring
As part of the D’erbe di natura e benessere (Herbs, Nature, and Wellbeing) event, which will take place in Spilimbergo on May 9 and 10, 2026, two events have been organized to explore the large mosaic floor that the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli is creating in its outdoor courtyard. This is the Flora and Fauna in Friuli Venezia Giulia mosaic: a 1,265-square-meter mosaic surface that will unite the three buildings that make up the Gallery of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli.
Forestry Professor Pier Luigi Tambosso will accompany visitors on a discovery of the various subjects depicted in the mosaic: plants and animals, from the mountains to the sea, of our region.
