In the presence of the Regional Councilor Alessia Rosolen, with an official ceremony at the Miotto Theater in Spilimbergo, the 2020/2021 school year of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli. began this morning. All the students in the audience: the new recruits of the first year, whose enrollments are complete, the students of the second and third year and the mosaic masters of the specialization course who, qualified last June, decided to integrate their preparation with an annual experience of mosaic design and production within the School. Almost half of these students come from abroad, confirming the internationality of the School and its reputation across the border. Sixteen countries of origin including France, Spain, Poland, Romania, but also Russia, South Korea, Mexico, Colombia.
At the opening of the training year, the regional councilor for work, education and high training Alessia Rosolen, the regional councilor Alessandro Basso and the mayor of Spilimbergo Enrico Sarcinelli wanted to participate to bring their wishes.
The president of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, Stefano Lovison, expressed his satisfaction in inaugurating this new year which, like the rest of the Italian educational institutions, has particular premises. Lovison underlined the commitment of the School Management in terms of safety with a special Protocol put in place since last May, when according to theRegional Ordinance n. 12 of the President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, it was possible to resume the practical lessons of mosaic and terrazzo with a demonstration of seriousness and responsibility on the part of the students.
IThe director Gian Piero Brovedani, after having greeted and introduced the team of teachers, administrators and technicians that make up the School, focused on the close relationship that binds the School to the local institutions, first of all the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the Municipality di Spilimbergo and other legal entities. The word was therefore passed to the Mayor of Spilimbergo Enrico Sarcinelli who recalled how the School constitutes a driving force in the field of education, tourism and production activities and how important it is, now that the anniversary of the centenary of the foundation of the School, continue to look to the future, while keeping the roots in tradition.
The regional councilor Alessandro Basso praised the School as an expression of our territory in the world and as a model of management and organizational capacity.
In conclusion, the words of Councilor Alessia Rosolen who reaffirmed the effectiveness of a direct relationship between the training institutions and the Region which worked to ensure that the recovery of the whole sector took place in the best possible way. She also recalled the professional possibilities that the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli offers to its students thanks to a specific preparation that is unmatched in Italy.
At the end of the ceremony all the students returned to school with the right emotion that accompanies every beginning. Between new measures to follow and consolidated rules, the 2020/2021 training course began with a defined timetable and a program planned for the next nine months.
