More than 6000 visitors to Mosaico&Mosaici 2022

In preparing for the start of the new formative year, the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli looks with satisfaction at the results achieved by the Mosaico&Mosaici exhibition, the summer event that has just ended and which is an opportunity to get to know and admire the best of the recent activity of the School: from conceived projects to completed works.

«We are proud to be able to say, data in hand, that Mosaico&Mosaici 2022 recorded a further record of visits: over 6000 people, in 30 days of opening» declared Stefano Lovison, president of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli. «It is a moment we care a lot about because it tells a wide audience what is done during the training course. The exhibition gives credit to the commitment and passion of students and teachers, presenting their work to share it and demonstrate how rich, expressive and current the art of mosaic is».

Open every day in August, the exhibition confirmed how the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli represents in the regional territory a place of great interest and curiosity, capable of attracting and involving people of different ages, backgrounds and origins. You can understand this by browsing through the registers where visitors, overwhelmed by the colors and energy of art, left enthusiastic comments. They are individuals, families or groups, they come from localities in the region, of course, but also from other areas of Italy and then there are French, Austrians, Germans, English, Irish, Slovenes, Croats, Belgians, Dutch, Norwegians, Spaniards; some have even crossed the ocean, coming from Canada, the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Australia and have not neglected to include the School in their Italian tour. Then there are the greetings left by former students, even those who see themselves in the black and white photos that tell the history of the School, the notes of aficionados who do not miss all the news of the exhibition, the signatures in capital letters trace of the passage of very young visitors who explored the School and were inspired by the motifs on the floors or by the figures represented in the mosaic works.

«The recovery of tourism has certainly had a positive impact, but we can also say that it was perseverance and responsibility that determined the success of our summer exhibition» said Gian Piero Brovedani, director of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, highlighting how the it shows both the synthesis of a year of activity and reflects what has been done with dedication and commitment during the training period. An exhibition, therefore, always different because different is what is designed and elaborated in class, in the three courses in which the professionalizing path of Master Mosaicist is articulated.
«Knowing that the School is considered an unmissable stop to be included in trips, holidays and trips out of town honors us» continues the Director Brovedani «but we present what we are and what we have been doing for a hundred years since this year the School has accomplished a century of life. We show our history, our changes, the evolution of an art and its traditional and innovative aspects. The mosaic represents an excellence of our territory and with the Mosaico&Mosaici exhibition we try once again to confirm it».

To document Mosaico&Mosaici 2022, as with previous exhibitions, a catalog full of illustrations has been published with the cover image dedicated to the centenary of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli which remains open for visits from Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 11.30 and from 13.00 to 15.30.
