Mosaic in dance
The “Mosaico in Danza” show-competition organized by the ACSD Progetto Danza e Spettacolo took place on Sunday 18 February 2024 at the Palazzetto La Favorita in Spilimbergo, with the artistic direction of Silvia Castro.
Over thirty choreographies presented by young dancers from various dance schools in the region. On the recommendation of a jury made up of well-known dancers and professionals in the sector, including Francesca Dario, Kledi Kadiu and Giuseppe Della Monica, scholarships were awarded and numerous prizes awarded for various categories.
The Mosaic Award, for the choreography capable of best transposing the art of mosaic into dance, was awarded to True colors of the Isadora Dance School of San Vito al Tagliamento. The colorful and lively group of dancers received from the hands of the president of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, Stefano Lovison, a mosaic created within the School by the student of the specialization course Alessia Lovato. The mosaic represents a dancer immortalized during an airy dance step.
