Stage on ancient mosaic with Alessandro Lugari
The last week of November (from Monday 25th to Friday 29th) the internship took place with Professor Alessandro Lugari on Greek-Roman and Byzantine mosaic techniques. Mosaicist, restorer and expert in the conservation of ancient mosaics, Alessandro Lugari lends his service to the Archaeological Park of the Colosseum, is among the founding members of AISCOM – Italian Association for the Study and Conservation of Mosaics and a member of ICCM – International Committee for the Conservation of Mosaics. Already a guest of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli in past years, his lectures give the students the possibility to take first and second courses to learn about and apply the operating methods of antiquity, both for floor and wall mosaics.
