The Mosaiciscj. Theatrical performance
The Mosaic School of Friuli, as part of the fourth edition of the CREAttivo project, hosts in its outdoor arena, a show organized by the Maravee Cultural Association and staged by the company of the “Teatro Incerto”, which in a special theatrical performance pays tribute and tells the story of the Patriarchate of Aquileia, the birth of Christianity and the art of mosaic in understandable, light and fun tones.
The show, entitled I Mosaiciscj, will take place on Thursday, June 8, 2023, beginning at 19.00. It tells of a magical night, in which are enclosed four centuries of history of Aquileia: the master Marcor (played by Claudio Moretti) is hired by the Patriarch Theodore to make the mosaics of the Basilica of Aquileia in one night. In his undertaking he will be joined by two particular helpers: the Angel Gabriel and the Devil (respectively Fabiano Fantini and Elvio Scruzzi) who will try to approach him and remove him from his work. The story wants to be a metaphor of the artisanal knowledge and the deep knowledge behind every artistic expression.
The show is free admission, without reservation. In case of rain will be postponed.
