The visit of the bishop Msgr. Giuseppe Pellegrini
On the morning of Friday 18 October, Msgr. Giuseppe Pellegrini, bishop of the Diocese of Concordia – Pordenone, accompanied by Fr Giorgio Bortolotto, parish priest of Spilimbergo, wanted to bring a greeting to the students of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli.
IThe bishop recalled the fame of the School expressed by the mosaics that he himself saw several times around the world and had words of encouragement for the students urging them to work with passion and enthusiasm, values that transform a good performance into a work art.
He was pleasantly impressed by the international spirit that is lived in the School. People from different states (not only from Europe, but also from China, India, Pakistan …) reach Spilimbergo to share a single goal: to learn the ancient art of mosaic. This creates a dialogue between peoples, a fraternity to which all humanity must strive. Then he spoke to the students and wanted to know the various countries of origin of some of them.
The students were greeted, the bishop was accompanied by the director Gian Piero Brovedani and the president Stefano Lovison to visit the school.
