CREAttivo #4 Award
Dedicated to the students of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, the CREAttivo Prize competition is now in its fourth edition. As stated in the announcement, the students are asked to develop projects of mosaic interventions on four different furnishing components in production at the Legnolandia, Gervasoni and Very Wood companies.
Conceived by Sabrina Zannier and organized by the Maravee Cultural Association, with the collaboration of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli and well-known companies in the region, the competition aims to stimulate the students’ creativity by directing it to functional and everyday solutions where the mosaic becomes the artistic element makes the object unique.
The projects will concern two sensory walls made available by Legnolandia for a children’s playground and two seats produced by Gervasoni and Very Wood. A commission will select the proposals most relevant to the concept of the competition which will then be created and exhibited in an exhibition in Gorizia accompanied by an illustrated catalogue.
In relation to the theme of the competition that for this edition proposes Mosaico&Design – Creative Craftsmanship in Game, the announcement reads: «The objectives of the project, aimed at collectively shared daily life, with CREAttivo #4 stage the close collaboration between Art, Education, Territory and Impresa FVG with the intention of tracing a “Path” on the front of cultural, environmental and social sustainability».
