Exhibition in Qingdao on the Yellow Sea
- Saturday, October 8th will be inaugurated in Quingdao – in China – the exhibition of the Friuli School of Mosaic at the Quingdao Art Gallery, at the presence of the President Alido Gerussi.
- The interest for the mosaic madein the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia grew after the presentation of the Mosaic School of Spilimbergo in the project “Cultural Heritage, the source of wisdom, heritage of all humanity” intended to promote the Cultural Heritage of our Country in China.
- Actually a dialogue was opened: the Friuli School of Mosaic was invited in China to participate to institutional meetings and working groups, in partnership with local authorities, the Italian Embassy and the Cultural Italian Institute in China. Indeed the School has also become a destination for Cina official delegations, as well as study and research center for the Mosaic Art Association China of Beijing, that sent some artists to deepen their knowledge at the School in Spilimbergo. The interest for the Friuli School of Mosaic has promoted many other encounters and initiatives that took us until the big opening of the exhibition in Quingdao. An exhibit made possible trough the contribution of theSolidarietà Italiana Quingdao Foundation. The exhibition offers a broad overview of the mosaic art of the Friuli School of Mosaic, integrated by video and images focused on the academic activity. The direct contact with the School and with the mosaic art is facilitated by the presence of .Angelica Di Marco e Nicole Stefan, master mosaicists, alumni of the School will liven up the exhibit with live practical mosaic executions at the Art Gallery of Quingdao.
