On Monday 14 February 2022 in the conference room of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, the announcement of the FIDAPA Award – Italian Federation of Women Arts Professions Business, addressed to the students of the School was illustrated. Presented by Romanina Santin and Giovanna Santin, both past president of the association present all over the world under the name of BPW International – International Federation of Business and Professional Women.
The collaboration between FIDAPA-Pordenone and the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli began sixteen years ago, with the then president Romanina Santin, and aims to “support the skills and stimulate future professionals in a sector, that of the mosaic, which it characterizes the entire regional territory. In particular, it intends to stimulate the reflection and ideation of the students from the earliest stages of the mosaic execution: the creative and planning ones “.
Participants are asked to produce a mosaic sketch on an indicated theme: a commission will choose the best proposal which will then be translated into a mosaic in a 110 X 150 cm panel. If two years ago (the competition is in fact biennial) we asked to reflect on the professional role of teachers, this year the award is dedicated to nurses because, according to the announcement, “no health care would be possible without their constant human, psychological work. and scientific “.
The final mosaic will then be donated and exhibited in a public place related to the subject represented. The winning mosaic of the FIDAPA 2019 prize, the work of the mosaic teacher Chiara Platolino, is now placed at the A. Gabelli primary school in Pordenone.
The FIDAPA Award, now in its eighth edition this year, in addition to providing for an award for the winner, which will be conferred on the occasion of the event called “Vittoria Alata”, is an expression of the support given by the Federation to women who work in the field of professions and the arts.
