Special guests from Sky Sport
Special guest at the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli on Thursday 16 January 2025 was the team from the Sky Sport television program Calciomercato – L’Originale.
The broadcast, hosted by Alessandro Bonan, Gianluca Di Marzio and Fayna, is live from the Carnic town of Sutrio, for about a week, and its journalists with the technical and editorial staff are on tour around Friuli Venezia Giulia to present to viewers some excellences of the region. One of the destinations of their tourist tour was Spilimbergo to learn about the art of mosaic.
Arriving late in the morning, the Sky Sport group was welcomed by the president of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, Stefano Lovison, and was able to visit the laboratories and understand how much history and expressiveness there is in the art of mosaic which has evolved and transformed in centuries up to the contemporary forms of which the School promotes.
Thanks to the mosaic master Giulia Palamin, the guests then had the opportunity, sitting on the benches among the students, to try their hand at cutting the tiles with the hammer and applying them.
A summary of the visit to Spilimbergo was broadcast that same evening on Sky Sport, during the Calciomercato – L’Originale program (at 11.00 pm): a “postcard” dedicated to the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli and commented by the journalist Fayna.
