From Saturday 26 September 2020 also the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli is among the supporters of The International Charter of Artistic Craftsmanship . The important document was in fact signed by the President Stefano Lovison together with the Mayor of Aquileia Emanuele Zorino in the context of the Otium et Negotium exhibition set up in Aquileia, promoted by Confartigianto Imprese Udine and dedicated to the artistic craftsmanship of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The Charter is a document born from the collaboration of Ateliers d’Art de France, CNA Nazionale, Confartigianato Imprese Nazionale and Artex-Centro per l’Artigianato Artistico e Tradizionale della Toscana to highlight the cultural and economic value of artistic craftsmanship thus directing national and European for the training, support, protection and fair promotion of this sector.

Publicly presented in 2010 in Florence, it began its path of dissemination and sharing by increasing the signatories including: Kyoto Traditional Arts and Crafts Sponsorship Foundation, AiCC – Associazione Italiana Città della Ceramica, Associazione Osservatorio dei Mestieri d’Arte della Toscana , CEII – European Centro Europeo di Impresa e di Innovazione del Trentino, Citema – Città Europea dei Mestieri d’Arte, CO.SE.R. – Calabria, Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, Fondazione di Firenze per l’Artigianato Artistico, IVAT – Institut Valdôtain de l’Artisanat de Tradition, Liguriastyle.it, ViArt – Artigianato Artistico Vicentino. Today the Charter is signed, for various reasons, by 3 French and 15 Italian regions, including Friuli Venezia Giulia, by 6 Municipalities and by 15 national and international institutions.

The Charter addresses various issues: the definitions of artistic craftsmanship and traditional crafts, the economic, cultural and social values ​​of which artistic craftsmanship is the bearer, the political proposals ranging from communication to education, from marketing to innovation. , from the impact on tourism to exhibitions and museums.

For the Charter to become an effective tool, it must be supported by the largest number of subjects. It is with this in mind that the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli has taken the invitation to become a supporter of this important document, sealing its principles with a signature.
