Icons of Art 2024
The Icons of Art exhibition set up inside the Museo Civico d’Arte of Pordenone will be open to visitors until Sunday 14 July 2024.
Based on a now consolidated format, portraits of famous people created by students and former students – now Master Mosaicists – of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli will be exhibited.
For this edition, which finds a new location in the art museum of Palazzo Ricchieri, right in the center of Pordenone, five faces of women who have distinguished themselves in the world of art and of show business: Frida Kahlo, Katy Perry, Margot Robbie, Shakira, Julia Roberts. These works were created by young mosaic artists (Denise Toson, Debora Franco, Stefano Marroffino, Francesca Cafarelli, Alessia Lovato) as part of the “Per Chi Crea” creativity program supported by SIAE and the Ministry of Culture (2023).
Organized by the Naonis Cultural Association, under the curatorship of the artistic director Guglielmo Zanette, the Icons of Art exhibition is the result of a long collaboration with the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli which sees the involvement of students through the Mosaic Young Talent call dedicated precisely to the genre of portrait interpreted with the mosaic technique.
The exhibition, with free admission, is open on Fridays from 3pm to 7pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to 7pm.
