A mosaic for pharmacists
The mosaic dedicated to female pharmacists, the design for which was created by student Mariia Amosova for the 2025 Vittoria Alata Prize – organised and curated by FIDAPA (Italian Federation of Women in the Arts, Professions and Business) – will be unveiled on Wednesday 27 May 2026 at 6.30 pm at the Montereale Municipal Pharmacy in Pordenone.
The mosaic rendering of Amosova’s sketch is the work of students from the advanced course at the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli: Elisa Pielli, Fabio Radicioni, Rossella Raimondi, Van Dao Carchio, Sara Tozzi and Yana Isaiewa.
The biennial Vittoria Alata Prize pays tribute to women who have contributed to the growth and development of western Friuli. For this latest edition, FIDAPA has chosen the professional category of pharmacists in the province of Pordenone, who carry out their profession with competence and commitment, whilst never neglecting to nurture relationships with patients and those who turn to them for more technical reasons. The mosaic therefore depicts a pharmacist in profile, busy preparing a medicine amidst vials and bottles.
