Exhibition of the school mosaicists of Friuli at Villa manin di Passariano (June/July 2012) to honor the 90 years of the Institute (1922-2012)

To share this important moment, the school mosaicists intends to host on display also some mosaic works made by former pupils, to whom it is addressed with an open letter, annexed here, signed by the President Alido Gerussi.

Dear Master Mosaicist,

In 2012 the school mosaicists of Friuli will celebrate its ninety years through a large exhibition at the regional Exhibition Centre of Villa Manin in Passariano. For this reason, in addition to the significant achievements of the school, we decided to share this event with our former students who today work in the field of mosaic art giving everyone the opportunity to exhibit their own mosaic work.

Therefore we invite you to adhere to this initiative by indicating beforehand one or more works that it intends to exhibit through a simple written communication including the image, size, value and technical characteristics thereof. This communication must be received by 10 February 2012 at the premises of the school mosaicists of Friuli by ordinary means or via e-mail: info@scuolamosaicistifriuli.it.

We inform you that considering the exhibition halls the measurements of the works must be contained within a maximum size of cm. 150×150.

All the works received will be screened by a special Commission which, at its sole discretion, shall provide on the basis of the aesthetic and technical qualities as well as the available spaces for their definitive selection for exhibition purposes.

It is understood that the work on display will be granted by the executor free of charge only for exhibition purposes for the period of the exhibition at Villa Manin (June/July 2012) and that the shipping costs of the same are exclusively borne by the artist.
