Inaugurates the annual Mosaico & Mosaici 2021 exhibition
The inauguration of Mosaico & Mosaici is always a party and the participation of the public proves it. This is not simply an exhibition, which has reached its 27th edition this year, but the event that best describes the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli in the present, in its being a training and research center in the field of mosaics. capable of attracting students from all over the world. So for the opening ceremony of Mosaico & Mosaici 2021, which took place on Friday 30 July starting at 6.30 pm, the outdoor space of the School was invaded by a community of friends and enthusiasts eager to learn about the projects and works carried out during the training year just ended.
Stefano Lovison, president of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, in greeting those present, wanted to emphasize how the ambitious goals that the School sets itself, are possible thanks to teamwork and the support of a large network of organizations, institutions and companies that share and collaborate in a cultural, artistic and territorial project. An example of this is the large monument-work for the school’s hundredth anniversary, officially presented to the public, as well as the adhesion of new subjects to the Consorzio per la Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli. The synergy between different realities and the link with the territory were two themes that united the interventions of the authorities: the Mayor of Spilimbergo Enrico Sarcinelli, the Member of the Parliament of the European Union Marco Dreosto, the Regional Councilor Stefano Zannier and the Undersecretary of State for the transition ecological Vannia Gava. Each exhibition is accompanied by a catalog and the director of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, Gian Piero Brovedani recalled that the book Mosaico & Mosaici 2021 was made possible thanks to the support given also this year by the company Despar Eurospar Interspar, represented by Fabrizio Cicero, coordinator Despar for Friuli Venezia Giulia. Several times the School has been indicated as an excellence, an adjective that summarizes tradition, uniqueness, culture, art, knowledge and innovation, and this recognition determines a shared commitment to the creation of an international center dedicated to mosaics: a project that over time is taking shape and whose next steps, supported by the Region, will be the completion of the second exhibition building and the arrangement of the square.
The president Lovison and the director Brovedani did not fail to greet the other personalities present in the audience, the Prefect of Pordenone Domenico Lione, the Vice-rector of the University of Udine Angelo Montanari, the President of Friuli Innovazione Daniele Cozzi, the numerous administrators who arrived from all over the region, the authorities of the Carabinieri and Marina, the friends of the Dante Alighieri Society of Spittal and the many professionals and mosaicists who once again gather around their school.
Spared from the rain, the evening ended with a visit to the exhibition and a toast: a convivial moment offered by various food and wine companies in the Spilimberg area.
