Mosaic Young Talent 2022
The names of the winners of the seventh edition of the Mosaic Young Talent competition, created by the collaboration between the Naonis Cultural Association, curator of the project, and the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli will be revealed on Tuesday 13 September 2022 at 11.30 am at the Municipality of Pordenone. The competition is in fact aimed at the students of the third course, or those who are at the end of the training course to obtain the qualification of Master Mosaicist. They are asked to create, independently, a portrait of a known character in mosaic: an iconic face which, together with those presented in the previous editions of the competition, forms the gallery of characters known as Icons of Art.
The portraits of Icons of Art have been exhibited in various exhibitions in Italy and abroad (in particular in the United States) and reproduced in some art catalogs, testifying to the success of the project Mosaic Young Talent. Each year there are several students awarded for their ability to try their hand at the noble genre of portraiture, restoring the physiognomy and character of famous figures from the world of sport, cinema, music, business..
The award ceremony will be held in the Loggia of the Municipality of Pordenone in the presence of the Mayor and the Councilor for Culture of the Municipality, who has repeatedly welcomed and exhibited the results of Mosaic Young Talent, the curator of the project Guglielmo Zanette and the Director of the Mosaic School of the Friuli Gian Piero Brovedani. This will be an opportunity to admire the winning works and get to know their performers.
