Mvsiva 2016 “Gianni Borta. The burning Nature “

Thirty students of the Friuli School of Mosaic will be the protagonists in theeight edition of MVSIVA, an annual exhibit created by Itineraria ( association of touristic guides of Friuli Venezia Giulia )in partnership with the Friuli School of Mosaic.

The Project, reserved for students of the school mosaicists of Friuli, invites students to reflect on themes and artists of contemporaneity, then give shape and concreteness to thoughts through the realization of mosaic works, dedicated each year to a personality Different artistic chosen by Itineraria. This year the students were confronted with the artist Gianni Borta, whose ideas were in more than one occasion translated to Mosaic by the school mosaicists of Friuli: The last collaboration dates back a few months ago in the symposium Musivo Organized in Lignano Pineta at Bagno 7; Among other examples are the mosaics made for the municipality of Cividale, in the schools of Basiliano and Martignacco, at the Stadio Nereo Rocco in Trieste, in addition to interventions outside the region.

The mosaic works, inspired by the art of Maestro Borta and realized by the students of the school mosaicists of Friuli, will be the protagonists of the exhibition “MVSIVA 2016 – Gianni Borta. La natura ardente”, opened from 4 December 2016 until 31 January 2017 in Spilimbergo, at the restaurants “La Torre” (in Piazza Castello, n°8) and “Da Afro” (via Umberto I, n° 14)

The mosaic works will be voted by the visitors throughout the period of the exhibition. Those who receive the most popularity from the audience will be rewarded during a dedicated ceremony.
