Today, Wednesday 25 May 2022, the Vittoria Alata Prize will be awarded to a student of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli.
This prize is awarded by the Fidapa Bpw of Pordenone (Italian Federation of Women Arts Professions Business) to the best sketch, among those presented by the students of the School, for a mosaic dedicated to nurses, figures chosen for the VIII edition of this award.
The awards ceremony will take place in the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Pordenone at 6.00 pm, in the presence of Annamaria Poggioli, president of Fidapa BPW of Pordenone, Alessandro Ciriani, mayor of Pordenone, Romanina Santin, creator and godmother of the Vittoria Alata award.
In the coming months, the winning student will perform the mosaic in the School’s laboratories which will then be placed in a public place.
Tonight’s award ceremony represents an important moment in the historic collaboration between Fidapa Pordenone and the Mosaic School of Friuli. The Association with its representatives, Romanina Santin and Giovanna Santin, had been a guest at the School on February 14, 2022 to present and share this year’s announcement.
